STUDENTS

From Ms. Yellen, School Nurse:
ATTENTION 6th GRADE STUDENTS: If you have not brought in your proof of having had the Tdap (whooping cough/pertussis) shot you will not be able to register for 7th grade on time. We still have well over 100 6th graders on our list who have not met this requirement. Please bring your proof to either Mrs. Yellen or Ms. McDonald in the health office as soon as possible. You can also check with us before school if you are unsure if your name is on the list or not.

Bus Referrals:
In the last 12 days, CPMA students have received 65 bus referrals. This is completely unacceptable. Many students have been suspended from the bus because of multiple referrals. Don't let this happen to you! The bus rules are always the same and do not depend upon the driver. Drivers change, but your behavior on the bus needs to be safe at all times. Review the bus rules in your planner and observe them!

Going to STARBUCKS:
Once students arrive in the morning on the bus they are not allowed to leave campus to go to Starbucks or any other retail establishment. Students leaving campus will be assigned lunch detention along with a call to the parent.
Students arriving late in the morning with food or drink items will remain in the office to finish before going to class and a tardy will be recorded.

Tardy Sweeps coming soon, date TBD:
Students should start being responsible getting to class on time and not lag getting from one class to another. There is a 5 minute passing period and all students have plenty of time to get to class and not be marked tardy.
So, start planning your route to each class so when the tardy sweeps begin you will not be a part of them.

Lost and Found:
Don't forget to check the lost and found outside Mrs. Spafford's Office, Room 201. There are many clothing items and anything not claimed will be donated.
Also, check with Mrs. Nolan for small lost and found items such as jewelry, glasses, electronic devices, etc.

Celebrating Valentine's Day:
Students are not allowed to bring food items, balloons, stuffed animals, etc. to school on February 13th since Valentine's Day, February 14th is a holiday this year. Any of these items brought to school will be confiscated.

Lincoln and Washington Holidays:
February 14 and February 17, please mark your planners.

Passes to the office, rest room, nurse, counselor, etc.
Students needing to leave class for any reason should have their planner signed by the teacher before they leave the classroom. This would also include students bringing attendance sheets to the office.
Students failing to have their planner will result in being assigned to lunch detention.
Planners are required at CPMA and all students should have one. Students may use the CPMA planner or a similar style for class assignments, passes, etc. If you need a planner they are available in the Finance Office for $5.00.

For 8th grade students auditioning for SCPA in the areas of Vocal Music or Musical Theater:
Mrs. Freese will be holding audition workshops after school on Thursday, January 30, Tuesday, February 4 and Thursday, February 6, from 4-5 pm in Room 511. Need help finding an audition song? Can't figure out how to complete your résumé? Not sure what is needed for you audition? Come to an audition workshop for help!

Yearbook Sales:
Starting today, February 3 the price of the year book is $50.00.
