Lanyard Sweeps:
Starting on November 5 we will begin having Lanyard Sweeps. It is important all students wear their lanyard and ID every day.
If you have lost yours, please see Mrs. Nolan in the Main Office.
MASH:
Beginning week of November 9th, MASH will only be on Thursdays.
Pumpkin Contest:
Don't miss out on voting for your favorite pumpkin in the Pumpkin Decorating Contest in the cafeteria. These pumpkins have been created by teachers and support staff. Fill out the ballot and place it in the wooden box in front of the windows. The results will be announced Friday afternoon.
Let's Review the Electronic Device Policy:
Consequences:
1) The student will pick up the policy from Mrs. Nolan, in the main office as a result of the item being confiscated and take it home to be signed by parents or guardians.
2) Students will also copy the Possession of Inappropriate Items Policy on another sheet of paper.
3) As part of the consequence, students will not receive their electronic device the day it is confiscated.
4) The item will not be returned to the student until this form is completed and submitted to Mrs. Nolan.
5) After receiving the form, the item will be given to the student before they leave at the end of that day.
6) Each incident will be noted in the student's discipline record.

CPMA's Got Talent Auditions
Hey CPMA Stars, have you got talent? We KNOW you do! Here's your chance to show it! Auditions for the annual talent show CPMA's Got Talent are coming up on Tuesday, November 3 and Thursday, November 5. Auditions will take place after school from 4 to 5 pm in the Black Box Theater. Come prepared to impress us with your talent! An application is required to audition and can be picked up from any elective teacher. Applications are due by Friday, October 30 and required a parent signature. Only students who are available to perform in the talent show on the night of Thursday, December 3rd need apply. Got questions? Visit Mrs. Freese in Room 504 for more info. We can't WAIT to see your talent!

See Mrs. Nolan if you have lost a lunch box or water bottle, keys, glasses, jewelry, etc.

Come see the best of the best as CPMA's top Dance, Music, Choir, and Drama students perform on the PAC Stage! Bid on silent auction items including fun events with VAPA teachers. Please remember all students must be accompanied by an adult when attending CPMA productions

-Please remember to bring in at least two canned goods to help support our annual Canned Food Drive! Our collections go directly to help support the good and caring work of the San Diego Food Bank. Students and staff may donate into any green or brown bag in any classroom or the office! Be kind this holiday season!! Thank you in advance for your generosity!
-Our first Spirit Day will be Oct. 30th, which is our annual Costume Day! Please come dressed in your most original, funny, scary or creative costume and check in at the TeamASB! table during lunch on the 30th to receive a "treat!" Remember that only appropriate costumes are allowed. Any students dressed inappropriately will have to wear loaner clothes until the end of the day. No masks or weapons. Thank you for your cooperation!
-On our Friday music days, students are encouraged to come to the TeamASB! table to sign up for music requests and to sign up to participate in our various lunchtime activities. If you are chosen to be a participant, you will receive a yellow Participant pass during your 4th period class. If you are chosen, you will have 10 minutes to get and eat your lunch and then check in a the TeamASB! area, where we will get you ready for that day's activity. Participants are chosen in the order that they sign up on our sheets. All participants receive a prize and the winning participants will receive a larger prize. Hope to see you there!!

Calling all students that want to join CPMA's sports club. Your role will be to help make decisions for CPMA regarding the purchasing of equipment for the school. The club will meet once a month to discuss Physical Education wants and needs. Mr. Finn will be hosting an informal meeting to discuss all the details on October 27 during lunch. The meeting will be held in the fitness room. Those interested will have to get a pass (planner signed) by Mr. Finn in order to come out to the activity room on that day. Mr. Charles will not let anyone through the back gate unless you have your planner signed. Mr. Finn will be issuing these passes the week of Oct. 19-Oct. 23. Be a part of making a difference for your peers and CPMA.

Please return your cards as soon as possible. This document is very important and helps to provide funding for our school.
Dress Code Policy:
Students are doing a great job following the Dress Code Policy. However, just a reminder about the process if you wear something that is not appropriate:
*The student will be sent to the office for a loaner to wear for the day and home.
*The student will receive the Dress Code Policy to take home for their parent's signature.
*The student will return the cleaned loaner and provide the signed form.
*The student will get their personal item back only with the returned signed form.
Suggestion to avoid getting sent to the office:
Review the planner on Page 5 on what to wear or not to wear.
From Food Services and Cafeteria Staff:
The prior-year free/reduced status is effective until October 16th or a meal application is received (whichever comes first). On October 16th, those students that have Prior-Year Free/Reduced Status' and have not submitted a new meal application will go to paid status and will need to begin paying for breakfast and lunch on Monday, October 19th. If you need a lunch application please come to the main office.
